Star Wars: XtormTroopers Iss.04
Star Wars: XtormTroopers has released Chapter 1 - Issue 04, and this update is less about new scenes and more about the machinery running underneath the story.
Solo developer Michelangelo da Mouso built a custom tracking system to keep every branching choice in the parody visual novel balanced. As they explained it: “I built a comprehensive tracking tool that logs every variable in this world (stats, reputation, currency). This is my way of guaranteeing balance. It allows me to map the absolute limits of your journey, determining what happens when you succeed flawlessly or fail utterly.” The developer noted it was “a week-long effort that stopped me from creating content, but it ensures no choice in the game has an impossible path.”
The update also brings a significant technical cleanup. The developer ran the entire asset pipeline through a targeted compression pass, cutting the download size roughly in half: “Save +50% of disk space and load in-game scenes faster! All without sacrificing a single pixel of that crisp 2K art… The result is a leaner build that cuts the .zip size in half, eases the burden on your VRAM, and boots up quicker.”
For a game built on 3D-rendered art with heavy branching choices, both changes matter more than they might look on paper — smaller downloads and faster loads make the game more accessible, while the balance tool should reduce the risk of players getting stuck on broken or dead-end paths in later chapters.

Chapter 1 - Issue 04 is available now for Windows.
