Project Venus v0.2.6 Released

By MaC

Team Venus has pushed out Project Venus v0.2.6, and this update is less about new scenes and more about making the whole game run and feel better under the hood.

According to the patch notes, large chunks of the engine “were modified, improved, or partially rewritten to support better lighting, smoother gameplay, improved saving/loading, better collision handling, more stable video playback, and better overall performance.” For a long-running 3DCG dystopian horror title like this one, that kind of foundational cleanup matters — save corruption and stutter are common complaints in ambitious sandbox projects, and this release is squarely aimed at those pain points.

The interface also got attention this round, with new controls including a slider to resize selected UI elements, giving players more control over how the game presents itself on different screen setups.

Project Venus mixes 3DCG visuals with a dystopian setting, monster encounters, and heavy corruption themes, alongside female-protagonist-driven content covering everything from group scenes to darker fetish material. The 0.2.6 build is available now for Windows.

For players who’ve bounced off the game before due to save issues or choppy playback, this update is worth a second look — engine-level fixes like these tend to have a bigger long-term impact than a single new content drop.
